How To Clean A Blender - Bill Lentis Media
A blender does so many jobs for people living in a home, but cleaning it seems like a very hectic thing for them to do. This is because, when someone makes coffee in it, or a smoothie, the leftover liquid sticks to deep places and it is hard to clean it. Most people just use warm water to rinse it or clean it using a brush, but there are several ways through which it can be cleaned properly and quickly.

Cleaning Method#1

A 30 second cleaning method is for those, who don’t have time to clean it and need to use their blender right away. Take hot water and dish soap and pour the water in the blender. Make sure that it is filled halfway and not full, because that is just going to create a mess. Add a little dish soap and not a lot of it, because it would be hard to clean it. Put the blender on its base, hold the lid of the blender down using a towel and then turn on the blender. Blend at a good speed for at least 10 seconds, and then pour out the hot water. Rinse the blender with some more hot water and it will be squeaky clean! Also go and check out the how to blend tomatoes – check my site.

Cleaning Method#2

Most blenders don’t have coffee stains, but food stains. People who like to drink smoothies, often feel that their blender smells of leafy greens, when they want to make coffee. In such a situation, it is best to use water with vinegar, and clean a blender. Take 2 cups of room temperature water, and add 1 tablespoon vinegar to it. Put on the cover of the blender and then set it to medium speed. The blender should be on for at least 1 minute.

Empty the blender and then add cups of warm water in it, with a drop of dish washing soap. Cover the blender, and the blend the mixture for at least 1 minute, on medium speed. The reason why vinegar is very effective in this situation is because it is a neutralizer, and it can take away any disgusting odors left in the blender.

Cleaning Method#3

At times, when someone makes a smoothie or any other kind of energy drink in a blender, they don’t clean it right away. The food particles stick to the blender, and it is not easy to clean it using warm water and dishwashing soap. In this case, it is best to use oxygen bleach, pour it in the blender with soapy water and leave overnight.

In the morning, try cleaning the blender with the same warm water and soapy water technique, and it will come out as clean as new. The most problematic situation that people face is when, dirt enters the nooks and crannies of the blender. In such a case, the best way to clean it is by using a toothbrush or cotton swab. It will clean the deep areas perfectly.
